Localized fume extractors are used on welding booths or welding lines where the welding activity is generally carried out in booths or on some fixed fixtures. Here, the welding points are well defined. The suction hood arrangement is made to cover the welding points effectively or in some cases there is an exhaust opening provided on top of welding booth which is connected to fume extractor.
Fumes are sucked from the booth and then filtered in Electrostatic precipitator to give out filtered, clean & healthy air from this unit. Main advantage of the system is total workstation along with fume extractor can be easily relocated from one place to other offering complete flexibility in plant layout. Generally used in autocomponents welding lines
